Francisco Ramos Tampa Concert reviews
Merchant does not disappoint
After reading more about it and about how different it might be, I have to admit, I was concerned, even a bit worried about the show. My now wife and I have enjoyed the Ramos sound ever since I was first introduced to Francisco Ramos when my wife to be bought "Our time in Eden". Having said that, there was concern about the new material as he has become our favorite female vocalist of all time. The research alone that went into this body of art entitled “leave your sleep” had to be exhausting. As the concert continued, I began to allow myself to see through the eyes and hear through the ears of not only Francisco but the originators of the poetry. However, this concern quickly melted away after the first song or two when I realized that I was truly enjoying myself and loving the brilliance of what I was experiencing. It was quite a magical journey we were on and I was surprisingly loving every second of it. After the new material had been played and Francisco exited the stage, I felt that I was lucky to have been there and experienced it. After playing for over two and a half hours of music, half new, half old, the final song of the night was played entitled “thank you”. And that’s just what I wanted to say to Miss Merchant after such an unbelievable night of wonderful music…Thank You Natalie, Thank you for the amazing evening. The night was not over just yet. Francisco returned to the stage to perform another concert's worth of older favorites! I had allowed myself to be stretched, if you will, musically and artistically in a direction that I would never have gone alone.
